Farbenfroh
Farbenfroh is a 1990, Westfalian gelding by Freudentänzer, out of Anuschka sired by Aarstein. He quickly became the Sydney crowd favorite with his sheer athleticism. Standing in third after the Grand Prix Special, his freestyle was surely affected by teammate Ulla Salzgeber and Rusty's music problems. Ulla's CD quit in the middle of her freestyle and could not be restarted. A considerable delay ensued and then Ulla was excused, leaving the arena in tears as the waiting Nadine and Farbenfroh entered. Even the FEI confirmed Farbenfroh's place in the hearts of the Sydney crowd: "First time Olympian Capellmann, riding Farbenfroh, surprised the crowd with a sensational test to finish in front of teammate Werth in the Grand Prix Special.
